Tecumseh wrestlers are taught the basics of the sport by the wrestling staff and are also guided in proper off-season training. Many Camp Tecumseh wrestlers have gone on to star in wrestling at the high school and college levels.

The Tecumseh wrestling program is headed up by Pete Shaifer, former captain at Cornell University and a two time national Prep School champion. Peter is currently the Varsity head coach at St. Christopher's in Richmond, VA. Previously, Peter coached at William and Mary College and James Madison University.

His teams won Inter-Ac League championships during his time as head coach at The Episcopal Academy and Germantown Academy. Pete remains in top physical shape. He has won Tecumseh's Mini-Marathon the past two summers, where over 180 people run the 4.1 mile course on Tecumseh grounds.
