Each year, Tecumseh is comprised of approximately 170 boys ages 8-16. Traditionally, about 50% of the campers come from the greater Philadelphia area since the three founders of Tecumseh were Track and Field stars at the University of Pennsylvania (all three of which competed in the 1900 Olympic Games).

The other 50% of the campers come from all over the world. In recent years, Tecumseh has had campers come from such places as Italy, Germany, Brazil, France, Spain, Belgium, England and even Australia.

Probably the most famous international camper at Tecumseh was Prince Albert of Monaco who was a camper and later a counselor for six summers at Tecumseh in the 1970's.

Over 70% of the counselors are former campers at Tecumseh. Many of the counselors start out as 8 or 9 year old campers and continue going back each summer during the college years. As a result, many of the counselors will have already been at Tecumseh 10 or more years and will be well versed on the expectations and commitments of being a Tecumseh counselor.
