Water Sports
The location of Camp Tecumseh could not be better suited to a water trips program. Located on Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in New Hampshire, our stretch of shore line is a gateway to 274 islands, 200+ miles of shoreline and several shipwrecks. Here our certified staff will focus on building your sons canoeing skills while exploring the surrounding coves and islands.
To supplement this, trips will head out on a regular basis to explore the remaining 16th of New Hampshire that is covered by water. From day trips on nearby lakes to week long canoeing expeditions on the Moose River we will challenge your boys by removing them from this technologically rich world and teaching them the skills required to be self sufficient in the woods of New England.
Our goal through this program is not only to teach your sons how to canoe and camp but rather through these activities instill in them confidence, courage, and a passion for the outdoors. While exploring the deep woods with skilled councilors your sons will have the chance to develop their leadership and teamwork skills, learn the value of hard work, and even practice their cooking skills.
We are here to have fun and there is no better place to do that then on the waters that wind through the lakes region of New Hampshire.
